    I was craving soul food today and remembered seeing this place on TikTok. It did not disappoint and I think I’ve found my top contender for my fried catfish cravings!

    I ordered the Krispy Fried Catfish entree with two sides, and my boyfriend got the Beef Short Rib with chicken wings added on. We were very impressed with the catfish because it wasn’t fishy and fried perfectly. As for the short rib, it was flavorful and mostly tender but probably would not order again because it wasn’t all that for the price point of $38. The sides and cornbread were good as well. The only things I would say I weren’t impressed by overall were the green beans 100%, fried chicken and beef short rib.

    Service was good. The music was good.  All in all, Southern Fire Kitchen is definitely one of them ones. Would definitely come again!

    Ok, I feel I let the world down by not taking a picture of my meal. But I didn’t so now you have to hear about it. First the place, looks like a small diner/dive bar that is going to be packed and noisy but……nope, that’s exactly what it was. The people were nice, service was good, and it seems a bunch of people know about it but a lot more are missing out.
